Planting Hope

Jackson Area Ministries Gardening Project helps people to help themselves.  We help persons who have lost their jobs, senior citizens, and low-income families.  In addition to seed potatoes and tomato plants, we collect and distribute beans (pole and bush), beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, corn, cucumbers, lettuce, pumpkins, radishes, spinach, squash, turnips, watermelon--just about anything that is hardy for zone 6.  

2018 GARDEN REPORT

  

176 donations from individuals and groups from 22 states

27,000 tomato plants distributed

3,235 families in 19 south eastern Ohio counties received seeds, tomato plants and/or seed potatoes 

26 community gardens were planted

Youth volunteers planted 300 tomatoes plants in the Community Garden in Jackson.
